Book of Enoch Explained

As per the Book of Genesis, Enoch was born to Jared. He was the father of Methuselah and great- grandfather of Noah. Enoch walked with God for over three hundred years and as in the case of Elijah, Jesus and Imam Mohammad Al Mahdi, he did not see death. He was taken away into hiding. Prophet Enoch was in the seventh generation from Adam. This Book of Enoch was regarded as authentic scripture by the early Christians. This book which was taken out of the canons was revived by James Bruce in 1773 in Ethiopia. The first English translation was published by Richard Laurence in 1821. It was proved at Qumran that this book was in existence before the advent of Christ. It is fascinating to note that many crucial concepts that were used by Jesus himself are directly linked to the ideas and terms found in the Book of Enoch. It can be concluded that Jesus was well aware of this Book and he studied it well enough to adopt specific descriptions of the Kingdom to come and the theme of final judgment that would descend upon the wicked of this world. The Old Testament uses the term wicked to describe Watchers clearly explained here. Here is an explanation on my part concerning prophecy of the ten weeks mentioned in this book, as in summary:- First Week – involves justice and righteousness (Chapter 93 Verse 3). Period covered here is approximately 16,000 B.C. – perhaps ice age. This was the time of Prophet Enoch. Second Week – involves severe injustice (Chapter 93 Verse 4) and the period covered here is between 16,000 B.C. – 10,000 B.C. This was the time of Prophet Noah and brings about the First End of the world as a result of the Great Flood. Third Week – involves the planting of righteousness (Chapter 93 Verse 5) and the period covered here is between 10,000 B.C. – 2,000 B.C. This was the time of Prophet Abraham. Fourth Week – involves the laws given through the ten commandments for all generations (Chapter 93 Verse 6) and the period covered here is between 2,000 B.C. – 1,400 B.C. This was the time of Prophet Moses and the Great Exodus. Fifth Week – involves the House of Glory (Chapter 93 Verse 7) and the period covered here is between 1,400 B.C. – 900 B.C. This was the time of Prophet Solomon. Sixth Week – involves the ascension and resurrection of Jesus (Chapter 93 Verse 8) and the period covered here is between 900 B.C. – 100 A.D. This was the time of Prophet John the Baptist and Prophet Jesus. Seventh Week – involves the apostate generations (Chapter 93 Verses 9 to 11) and the period covered here is between 100 A.D. – Present Day. This is the time of Imam Mahdi during his occultation culminating with the Day of Judgment and Trial by Fire. Eighth Week – involves the future righteousness of the new kingdom (Chapter 91 Verses 12 to 13). This is the time of the reappearance of Jesus and Imam Mahdi. Ninth Week – involves a time in future where righteous judgment is revealed (Chapter 91 Verse 14). Tenth Week – involves a time in the future where the righteous shine forever with their glory reinforced (Chapter 91 Verses 15 to 16).

Zen and the Natural Cure for Common Gum Diseases

Things You Won't Hear From your Doctor: Zen and the Natural Cure to the Common Gum DiseasesThings You Won't Hear From your Doctor: Zen and the Natural Cure to the Common Gum Diseases by Eyal Cohen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is written by Israeli author and healer, Eyal Cohen.

He has dedicated his life to writing a revolutionary book series titled “Things You Wouldn’t Hear from Your Doctor”. It is divided into four volumes. He took a “Reiki” course; essentially about energy healing so that he could learn more about how the flow of energy can be used to treat chronic pains. The author shares this knowledge that he has acquired over twenty years in this book. Eyal Cohen cured his own gum disease using this method and shared his experience with his readers through this book.

The book consists of twenty chapters that detail different types of tooth and gum issues and their cure. It describes gum disease as one of the most extreme energy imbalance that our body copes with. In the first chapter, Eyal writes about his own personal experience of severe receding of the gum disease and how he cured it using energy healing. The book also explains how to prevent these diseases; and in case the reader is already suffering from such a disease, the book teaches the reader how to cure this ailment naturally.

This book is very well written and is organised in a manner that is easy to understand even if the reader has no prior knowledge of energy healing. It explains how energy imbalance can cause chronic pain and diseases and educates the reader on the dire consequences of neglecting energy imbalances. The author says that using the methods mentioned in this book will help decrease the need for medical services, drastically.

Despite the skepticism surrounding this technique, author Eyal does a great job of restoring trust in the reader. I would recommend this book to anyone who is suffering from such a disease and to people who are interested in or curious about alternative medical therapy.

Light of the Stars

This is an extract from the writings of Imam Jafar-as-Sadiq A.S. Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) has said that among the clusters of stars, which we see at night, some are so bright that our sun, in comparison, is quite insignificant. Because of man’s limited knowledge about stars, many people during his time and centuries after him, considered this theory to be illogical, irrational and unacceptable. They could not believe that these small specks of light, which are called stars, can have more light than the light of our big bright sun. About twelve and a half centuries after the death of this great man, it was proved that what he had said was quite correct. It has been discovered that there are stars in the universe, which are billions of times brighter than the sun. They are called quasars. The light of quasars is about quadrillion times (ten thousand billion times) the light of our sun. Some of them are at a distance of about nine thousand million light years away from the earth. The first quasar was discovered in the year 1927. About 200 quasars have been discovered so far. Astronomers need very powerful telescopes to study these wonderful stars. The world’s largest telescopes are not considered powerful enough for studying quasars. Astronomers of the 19th and 20th centuries were not surprised when they discovered giant stars, but when they observed quasars with their telescopes, they held their heads with their hands lest they might lose their senses and go crazy. The discovery of quasars disproved the theory of Einstein that the diameter of the universe is about three billion light years. The distance of nine billion light years is a very great distance and makes one stagger to imagine the vastness of the universe. Light covers a distance of 9,800 billion kilometers per year. We have to multiply this figure with nine billion to find out the distance between the earth and quasars. What has confused and puzzled scientists is the light of quasars. They fail to understand the cause of the power or energy within them which produces such an intense and bright light. Professor Alfven is of the opinion that there is no other source in the universe, which can generate so much energy in quasars, except explosion of matter and anti-matter. If the Russian scientists conduct an experiment and explode helium with anti-helium, mankind would not only have an inexhaustible source of energy, it would most probably solve the mystery of how so much light is produced in quasars.

The First Asian to swim the English Channel

Mihir Sen was born on 16th November 1930 in Purulia, West Bengal. His father was a doctor in Cuttack. Mihir wanted to take up law as his profession. His father wanted him to study for the bar in England. Mihir Sen did not know swimming until the age of twenty two. In fact, he used to dog paddle for several years even then. No one coached him in the art of swimming. He went to England in 1952 and took up law studies. To earn extra income, he got a clerical job in the Office of the Indian High Commission. Before getting this clerical job, he also worked as a porter on railway platforms. He developed a passion for swimming in his twenty-third year and used to spend most of his free time in a swimming pool, practicing hard. After completing his studies, he had a wild driving spirit that made him enter into the English Channel swimming competition. He entered his name and swam across the English Channel from Dover to Calais on 27th September 1958. He became the first Asian to cross the English Channel. He did this feat in an astonishing time of fourteen hours and forty five minutes. In 1966, Mihir Sen established five important records and became an outstanding salt water swimmer. On 6th April 1966, he crossed the Palk Strait between Sri Lanka and India. He swam from Talaimannar in Sri Lanka to Dhanushkodi in India. It was a brave attempt to swim across the shark infested waters and dangerous waves. He was assisted by the Indian Navy during this swim. On 24th August 1966, he swam across the Strait of Gibraltar also known as the `Dar-e-Daniyal’. Here too, he swam across a dangerous water stretch in this shark filled Strait between Africa and Europe. On 12th September 1966, he became the world’s first man to swim across the Dardanelles which is a sixty-one kilometre stretch between Asiatic Turkey and Europe. The Dardanelles connect the Black Sea to the Mediterranean Sea. On 21st September 1966, he crossed the Bosphorus which is also known as the Wasphorus or the Istanbul Strait which forms part of the boundary between Asia and Europe. On 29th October 1966, he swam across the Panama Canal. In the year 1966, he created a world record for swimming the longest distance. He is a swimmer with no match from India. He swam more than six hundred kilometres in the sea water. He has done what no other swimmer has done before. He swam across five continents in one calendar year and entered into the Guinness Book of World Records. Mihir Sen’s achievements inspired a spirit of adventure in many young Indians. There are two examples that can be cited. First, in 1974, Avinash Sarang, a water polo player, crossed the English Channel despite torrential weather. Second, in 1994, a twelve year old Kutraleshwaran crossed five oceans and entered into the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest swimmer to perform this feat. After his swimming years were over, Mihir Sen practiced as a barrister at the Kolkata High Court. He also became the President of the Explorers Club of India. In 1959, he was awarded the Padma Shri and he received the Padma Bhushan in 1967. Mihir Sen suffered with Alzheimer’s disease and died when he was only in his mid sixties on 11th June 1997. He has brought glory to India by creating records and making his name as one of the greatest swimmers of all times who achieved worldwide fame.

Seniors Looking for Relationships

You will find the senior citizens more vibrant these days than in the previous few generations. People are not stuck up any more. Even after they cross their retirement age, they have no issues in looking for mates. They feel that a senior match would be fun that could lead to a good and lasting relationship. Many relationship experts are of an opinion that dating to form a relationship is crucial to a positive mental frame of mind, regardless of your age. Age has got nothing to do with shedding your nervousness in developing intimate relationships. Most of the time, the fear behind a senior match is all in the minds of the seniors. People above forty need not fear when they feel like dating as it can be a casual experience devoid of pressures like financial stability or fear of parents. The pressure of responsibilities or economics is less at a later age when compared to younger people because seniors would already have crossed those hurdles of settling down in life and would be earning adequately. There are times in a person’s life when he or she may feel quite lonely. This may happen due to not marrying until late in life or losing a partner as a result of death or divorce. So, mature people trying to forge a senior match are actually seeking a lasting relationship and there should be nothing embarrassing about that. People who make fun of seniors dating are being immature and stupid. Even if you are above sixty and would like to date, it is your life; there is nothing to stop you from doing that. What is wrong in looking for love when you are over sixty? Your perfect partner would be waiting somewhere online. Dating on the web, even among seniors, has grown in popularity over the last few years as revealed by a recent survey which showed that more people in their sixties have started using the online dating sites more than ever.
